Kozhukattai is a healthy dish enriched with calcium, iron. It’s a south Indian recipe.
100 gm Ragi flour
1 tsp sesame seeds
5 tsp grated coconut
Â¼ cup Moong dal soaked
2 pcs small onion
â…› tsp asafoetida powder
2 green chilli
2 tsp ghee
1 cup coriander leaves
1 tsp salt
4 - 5 curry leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds
Firstly roast the Ragi flour in an empty wok.
In a Ragi flour add ghee and 2 tbsp water.
Now sieve it. Add soaked Moong dal and mix well.
Steam it for 5 minutes.
In a pan add ghee heat it add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, asafoetida powder.
Add onion, green chilli and saute it.
Add coriander leaves, grated coconut and mix it well.
In a Ragi flour mixture add salt and saute mixture.
Add 1 tsp ghee and make shape of kozhukattai with your palm.
Steam it in idli stand for 5 - 7 minutes.
Now our Ragi Kara kozhukattai is steamed properly. Enjoy it.
