A healthy breakfast recipe to start your day. This is the first time I am making kozhukattai with ragi.

Yield / Serves
Ragi flour 1 cup
Grated Coconut- 1 cup
Onion â€“ 1 finely chopped
Ginger â€“ 1 tbsp finely chopped
Green chilli â€“ 1 finely chopped
Coriander leaves â€“ 1/2 cup finally chopped
Curry leaves â€“ 2 springs chopped
Capsicum â€“ 1/4 cup finely chopped
Mustard seeds â€“ 1 tbsp
Urad dal â€“ 1 tbsp
Bengal gram â€“ 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil â€“ 2 tbsp
Water as needed
Seasoning: heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Then add Bengal gram, urad dal, onion sautÃ© till soft.
Add ginger, green chilli, capsicum & curry leaves sautÃ©. Then cut off heat.
Take ragi flour, grated coconut, salt, coriander leaves, & seasoned ingredients in a bowl and mix well, then sprinkle water & make soft dough.
Take a lemon size of dough and make kolukattai (using your five fingers).
Then steam it for 10 minutes in a steamer (idli cooker or idli koppar) & serve hot with tomato tamarind chutney
