Ingredients
For the Strawberry Filling
- 500 gm Strawberries hulled and chopped; fresh recommended
- 1/4 cup Sugar adjust based on strawberry sweetness, granulated, or to taste
- 1.5 cup Cream Cheese softened to room temperature
- 1 tsp Cardamom Powder finely ground cardamom seeds
- 1-2 tbsp Sugar for adjusting sweetness of the filling, powdered, to taste
For the Chocolate Drizzle
- 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips semi-sweet or dark chocolate
- 3 tbsp Heavy Cream
For Assembly
- 12-18 Wonton Wrappers or egg roll wrappers
- 3-4 tbsp Water for sealing the wrappers
- 2 cup Vegetable Oil for deep frying
- 1 tbsp Sugar for dusting, optional, powdered
Instructions
Prepare the Strawberry Filling
- Hull and chop the strawberries. In a bowl, gently mash the strawberries with granulated sugar. Let them sit at room temperature to release their juices. For a smoother filling, you can pulse the mixture briefly in a food processor.
Combine Filling Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the cardamom powder and powdered sugar to taste. Gently fold in the strawberry mixture, ensuring it's not overly watery.
Make the Chocolate Drizzle
- Melt the chocolate chips and heavy cream together in a double boiler or microwave until smooth and glossy. Set aside to cool slightly.
