- 100 gm Yogurt also known as curd
- 3 tbsp Tandoori Masala
- 2 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 tbsp Chili Powder adjust to your spice preference
- 1/2 tsp Salt to taste
For the Cheese Balls
- 100 gm Cheese grated, processed
- 100 gm Mozzarella Cheese diced into small cubes
- 2 Eggs lightly beaten
- 1 cup Breadcrumb panko breadcrumbs recommended
- 2 cup Vegetable Oil for deep frying
Instructions
Marinate the Chicken
- Combine cubed chicken, yogurt, tandoori masala, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, and salt in a bowl. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or preferably longer in the refrigerator.
Grill the Chicken
- Preheat your grill or broiler. Grill the marinated chicken until fully cooked and slightly charred, brushing with a little butter or oil halfway through for extra flavor and moisture.
Prepare the Chicken Mixture
- Shred the grilled chicken. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken with grated processed cheese and one beaten egg. Mix thoroughly.
Shape the Cheese Balls
- Take a small portion of the chicken mixture, form it into a ball, place a small cube of mozzarella cheese in the center, and seal the ball completely. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
Bread and Fry
- Dip each chicken cheese ball in the beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat evenly. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or wok. Carefully drop the cheese balls into the hot oil and deep fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Serve
- Remove the cheese balls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce such as mint chutney, tamarind chutney, ketchup, or mayonnaise.
