Recipe Notes
Expert Tips for the Best Guava Chutney
- Adjust the Spice: Start with less chili powder and add more to taste, depending on your preference for heat.
- Fresh vs. Dried Fennel: For a more intense fennel flavor, use freshly ground fennel seeds instead of pre-ground powder.
- Guava Ripeness: Use ripe but firm guavas for the best flavor and texture. Overripe guavas may become too mushy.
- Serving Suggestions: This chutney is delicious with Indian flatbreads, as a condiment with grilled meats, or as a topping for yogurt or ice cream.
