Ingredients
Fish & Noodles
- 200 gm Fish Fillet (e.g., cod, firm, or haddock); ensure it's boneless and skinless, tilapia, white
- 250 gm Hakka Noodles
Vegetables
- 1 Onion chopped, medium
- 1/2 Bell Peppers chopped, green
- 50 gm Cabbage shredded
- 50 gm Carrot grated
Spices & Sauces
- 4 clove Garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder (haldi)
- 1 tsp Szechuan Sauce (schezwan)
- 1 tsp Chili Sauce green
- 2 tsp Tomato Sauce
- 2 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 pinch Msg (ajinomoto - optional)
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp Fennel Seeds (saunf)
- 1 tsp Pepper black, ground
- 3 tsp Olive Oil
- 1 cup Water for noodles and adjusting consistency
Instructions
Prepare the Fish
- Boil the fish fillet with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp turmeric powder until cooked through. Drain, flake the fish, and set aside.
Cook the Noodles
- Boil Hakka noodles according to package directions. Drain, toss with 1 tsp olive oil, and set aside.
Prep the Vegetables
- Finely chop the onion, green bell pepper, and mince the garlic. Shred the cabbage and grate the carrot.
Sauté Aromatics
- Heat 2 tsp olive oil in a wok or large pan over medium heat. Add fennel seeds and cook until they crackle.
Cook the Vegetables
- Add minced garlic and chopped onion to the pan and sauté until softened and translucent.
- Add shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and green bell pepper. Stir-fry until slightly softened but still crisp-tender.
Add Fish and Sauce
