Ingredients
Infusion Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Holy Basil Leaves tulsi, fresh, tightly packed
- 2 Cardamom Pods green
- 1 Cloves whole
Liquid
- 1000 ml Water
Instructions
- Gently pluck the basil leaves from their stems and rinse them thoroughly. Lightly crush the cardamom pods to release their aroma.
- In a saucepan, combine the tulsi leaves, crushed cardamom pods, cloves, and water.
- Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse. This gentle simmering extracts the beneficial oils from the tulsi and spices.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let the infusion steep for an additional 30 minutes. This allows the flavors to deepen and meld.
- Strain the Tulsi-Cardamom Water through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher or serving vessel. Discard the solids. Serve warm or chilled.
