Ingredients
- 1 cup Carrot Peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup Green Peas Fresh or frozen
- 1 teaspoon Oil Any neutral cooking oil like mustard oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 3/4 teaspoon Salt Or as required
- 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves Finely chopped, for finishing
Instructions
Cooking the Sabzi
- Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
- Add sliced carrots and green peas. Mix well so the vegetables are lightly coated with oil.
- Add turmeric powder and salt. Sprinkle 2–3 tablespoons of water, cover, and cook on low heat until the carrots are soft and peas are fully cooked.
- Remove the lid and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sabzi looks dry with no excess moisture.
- Add chopped coriander leaves, mix gently, and switch off the heat.
