For the Egg Mixture

  • 5 tbsp Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 6 slices Bread crusts removed, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tsp Butter flavored butter, or unsalted butter with added herbs

Prepare the Egg Mixture

  • Break eggs into a bowl. Add milk, chia seeds, salt, and pepper. Whisk well with a fork. Set aside for 15 minutes to allow the chia seeds to absorb the liquid.

Prepare the Bread

  • Remove the crusts from the bread slices and cut them into small, bite-sized pieces.

Assemble and Bake

  • Lightly grease a small oven-safe dish (approximately 6-inch square or similar size) with butter. Arrange the bread pieces evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the bread, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, or until the eggs are fully cooked and the cheese is melted and slightly browned. Alternatively, bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until set.

Serve

  • Remove from the microwave or oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Serve warm.
