- 3.5 cup Potatoes boiled and mashed; leftover potatoes are perfect, mashed
- 1/2 cup Coriander also known as cilantro; adjust to taste, chopped, fresh
- 2 tsp Chia Seeds
Spice Blend (Masala)
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1/4 tsp Garam Masala adds warmth, optional
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice or to taste; salt can be substituted
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1 tbsp Oil for greasing the waffle iron
For Serving (Optional)
- Tomato Salsa
- Hung Curd Dip greek yogurt or similar
Instructions
Prepare the Waffle Patty Mixture
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, chopped coriander, chia seeds, spice blend (turmeric, cumin, garam masala), lemon juice, and salt. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
