Ingredients
Wood Apple Preparation
- 1 medium Wood Apple also known as bael fruit; you may substitute with 1 cup of wood apple pulp/extract if you prefer.
Drink Ingredients
- 2 cup Buttermilk
- 2 tbsp Jaggery adjust to your preferred sweetness level
- 10-12 leaves Mint Leaves fresh mint leaves
- cubes Ice Cubes as needed
- 1/2 cup Water to help extract pulp from the wood apple
Instructions
Prepare the Wood Apple
- Break the hard shell of the wood apple and scoop out the flesh.
Extract the Pulp
- Place the wood apple flesh in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of water to make squeezing easier.
Strain and Blend
- Strain the wood apple pulp through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher. Add the buttermilk and stir well.
Sweeten and Serve
- Add the jaggery and stir until dissolved. Add the fresh mint leaves. Stir gently. Serve chilled over ice.
