Recipe Notes

  1. The quantity of sugar will depend on the sweetness of bael and your needs as well.
  2. You can add normal sugar also, only that it will take some time to dissolve.
  3. If doing by hands then leave it for an hour or so. As the pulp gets soften up and easy to mash.

Additional Tips

  • For an extra layer of flavor, muddle a few fresh mint leaves in the glass before adding the sherbet; this not only enhances the aroma but also adds a cooling sensation to the drink.
  • If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the bael pulp through a fine mesh sieve or muslin cloth before mixing with water to remove seeds and fibrous bits.
  • To make a diabetic-friendly version, replace powdered sugar with a natural sweetener like stevia or a small amount of honey, adjusting the quantity based on your taste preference.
  • For a visually appealing presentation, serve the sherbet over crushed ice and garnish with a thin slice of lemon or a sprig of fresh coriander.
