For the Shikanji Concentrate

  • 1 Lemon juice of 1 large lemon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt black, enhances the cooling effect, kala namak; optional
  • 1/2 tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp Sugar or to taste; adjust based on lemon's tartness, powdered
  • 1 tsp Cumin jeera; you can use roasted cumin for a deeper flavor

To Serve

  • 1 cup Club Soda or sparkling water
  • 2 sprigs Mint fresh
  • 1 slice Lemon for garnish
  • Ice cubes Ice

Prepare the Shikanji Concentrate

  • In a small bowl or glass, combine powdered sugar, lemon juice, table salt, and cumin powder. Mix thoroughly until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add black salt (optional) and stir well.
