- 100 gm Paneer Cheese grated
- 1 Bell Peppers medium, finely chopped
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Onion medium, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Mint Leaves finely chopped
- 1 tsp Pepper ground, black
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
For the Paratha
- 2 cup All-Purpose Flour approximately, adjust as needed for dough consistency
- 3/4 cup Water approximately, add gradually until dough forms
- 2 tbsp Ghee for cooking
Instructions
Prepare the Filling
- Combine grated paneer, chopped capsicum, onion, mint, eggs, black pepper, garam masala, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
Prepare the Dough
- In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour and gradually add water, mixing until a soft, pliable dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let it rest for at least 15 minutes.
Assemble and Cook the Parathas
- Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle.
- Spread a spoonful of the paneer filling evenly over the circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape, then gently press to seal.
- Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Cook the paratha on both sides until golden brown and crispy, brushing with oil or ghee as needed.
Serve
- Serve the hot egg paneer parathas with your favorite chutney or sauce.
Recipe Notes
Expert Tips for Perfect Egg Paneer Parathas
- For extra flavor, marinate the paneer in a little yogurt and spices for 30 minutes before adding it to the filling.
- Don't overfill the parathas; this will make them difficult to seal and cook evenly.
- If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. If it's too dry, add a little more water.
- For a richer flavor, use ghee instead of oil for cooking. Serve with a side of raita or your favourite dipping sauce.
