Instructions

Prepare the Filling

  • Combine grated paneer, chopped capsicum, onion, mint, eggs, black pepper, garam masala, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.

Prepare the Dough

  • In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour and gradually add water, mixing until a soft, pliable dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let it rest for at least 15 minutes.

Assemble and Cook the Parathas

  • Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle.
  • Spread a spoonful of the paneer filling evenly over the circle.
  • Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape, then gently press to seal.
  • Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Cook the paratha on both sides until golden brown and crispy, brushing with oil or ghee as needed.

Serve

  • Serve the hot egg paneer parathas with your favorite chutney or sauce.

Recipe Notes

Expert Tips for Perfect Egg Paneer Parathas

  • For extra flavor, marinate the paneer in a little yogurt and spices for 30 minutes before adding it to the filling.
  • Don't overfill the parathas; this will make them difficult to seal and cook evenly.
  • If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. If it's too dry, add a little more water.
  • For a richer flavor, use ghee instead of oil for cooking. Serve with a side of raita or your favourite dipping sauce.
