  • 6 tbsp Heavy Cream fresh heavy cream; low-fat cream can be substituted.
  • 4-5 tsp Ginger Powder also known as sonth., dry
  • 2-3 tsp Sugar adjust to your preferred sweetness. other sugars like jaggery can also be used., brown
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom optional; adds a delightful aroma and flavor., ground

Preparing the Meethi Sonth

  • Combine heavy cream, dry ginger powder, brown sugar, and optional cardamom in a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan.

Cooking the Mixture

  • Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until it begins to bubble gently around the edges.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 seconds, stirring continuously to prevent scorching. Adjust the cooking time to achieve your desired consistency.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
