Ingredients
Spices & Herbs
- 1 inch Cinnamon Stick dalchini
- 1/2 piece Licorice Root mulethi stick
- 1/4 tsp Peppercorns kali mirch, black
- 5-7 Tulsi Leaves holy basil
Instructions
Prepare the Kadha
- Combine the cinnamon stick, licorice root, black peppercorns, and tulsi leaves in a small saucepan.
- Add 1 cup of water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
Simmer & Steep
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer gently for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Remove from the heat and allow to steep for another 5 minutes.
Strain & Sweeten
- Strain the Kadha through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the solids.
- Stir in honey to taste.
Serve & Enjoy
- Serve the Kadha warm. Enjoy several times a day as needed.
