Kande Ki Sabji (Onion Sabji)
Ingredients
- 2 large Onions sliced â
- 2 tbsp Oil
- Desi Ghee clarified butter – 1 tbsp
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds â
- 1/2 tsp Ginger finely ground â
- 1/2 tsp Garlic finely ground â
- 1/4 cup Yogurt â
- 1/2 cup Water â
- to Green Chilles €“ To Taste chopped green chilles â taste
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder â
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder â
- to Red Chili Powder â taste
- 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste

Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt with 1/4 cup of water. There should be no lumps.Â
- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder & salt to the yogurt/water mix. Mix well and add the remaining water.
- In a pan, heat oil and Ghee.
- Once the oil is hot, add in the cumin seeds and allow them to sizzle
- Add ginger, garlic and green chillies and cook till the ginger and garlic get a little color.
- Keep mixing and stirring till the oil floats on top of the mixtureÂ
- Add in the sliced onions and mix well.
- Increase the flame to a medium high and allow the onions to cook till the moisture has been absorbed.
- Serve hot with chapatis or naan.
