Ingredients
  

  • Lotus roots 250 grams
  • Potatoes cut into 1 inch pieces 2 large
  • Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Onion chopped 2 medium
  • Ginger paste 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder 2 teaspoons
  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  • Salt
  • Garam masala powder a pinch
  • Tomato chopped 1 large
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped. 1 tablespoon

Instructions
 

  • Scrub and wash the lotus root thoroughly. Peel and cut into diagonal slices. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker. Add the onions and sauté till lightly browned. Add the ginger paste and sauté.
  • Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt. Add a little water if dry. Sauté till the oil surfaces. Add the lotus roots and potatoes and mix well. Add half a cup of water and cover the cooker. Cook under pressure till the
