Ingredients
Cheese
- 200 gm Mozzarella Cheese
Breading
- 1 cup Breadcrumb
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
Wet Ingredients
For Frying
- 2 1/2 cup Oil for frying
Instructions
How to make cheese sticks
- Cut the mozzarella cheese into 1/2-inch thick sticks.
- In a bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them thoroughly.
- Place the all-purpose flour, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and mixed herbs in separate shallow dishes. Combine the bread crumbs and seasonings in one dish, mixing well.
- Dredge each mozzarella stick in the flour, shaking off any excess. This helps the egg wash adhere better.
- Dip the flour-coated cheese stick into the egg mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
- Roll the egg-coated cheese stick in the seasoned bread crumbs, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere. For extra-crispy sticks, repeat the egg and bread crumb steps once more.
- Place the breaded mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Chilling helps the breading set and prevents the cheese from oozing out during frying.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. The oil is ready when a bread crumb sizzles and floats to the top. Carefully place the chilled mozzarella sticks in the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry the mozzarella sticks for about 30 seconds per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oil and place them on a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
