Ingredients
Chocolate Base
- 400 gm Chocolate dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or cooking chocolate. choose your preferred type.
Optional Additions
- 20 gm Pumpkin Seeds optional, adds extra nutrients and texture
- 20 gm Sunflower Seeds optional, adds extra nutrients and texture
Instructions
Prepare the Nuts
- Dry roast the almonds, hazelnuts, and walnuts in a pan over low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant and lightly browned. No oil is needed.
Pound the Nuts
- Let the nuts cool completely. Then, roughly chop or pound them using a mortar and pestle to your desired consistency.
Melt the Chocolate
- Break the chocolate into small pieces. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or in short bursts in the microwave (30 seconds at a time, stirring in between), until completely smooth.
Combine and Mold
- Stir the chopped/pounded nuts (and optional seeds) into the melted chocolate. Pour the mixture into silicone chocolate molds.
Freeze & Enjoy
- Freeze the molds overnight, or until the chocolate is completely set. Unmold and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
