Homemade Ginger Ale Recipe

See how to make homemade ginger ale recipe. This drink has a fabulous flavour and is refreshing drink for hot summer days. Also ginger ale helps to reduce pain and inflammation, so is very beneficial too.

  • Chopped Ginger - 2 tbsps
  • Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Soda/ Carbonated water - 1 bottle
  • Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp


  • In a pan, add chopped ginger, sugar and water. Cook the mixture on medium for high flame for 2-3 min till sugar dissolves. Do not over cook the mixture, switch off the flame immediately once sugar dissolves.
  • Cover the pan and steep for minimum 1 hour. Strain the ginger sugar syrup and store the syrup in bottle.
  • To prepare the drink, in a serving glass, add ice cubes and add 3-4 tsp of syrup along with lemon juice and soda. Add in few slices of lemon and serve chilled.
