Ingredients
Yogurt Mixture
- 1 cup Yogurt unsweetened
- 2 tbsp Maple Syrup or raw honey
- 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1/2 cup Milk
Granola
- 1/2 cup Granola
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, milk, maple syrup, and chia seeds. Whisk until well combined.
- Fill your popsicle molds about two-thirds full with the yogurt mixture.
- Sprinkle granola evenly over the yogurt mixture in each mold.
- Gently press the granola down into the yogurt mixture with a spoon. This ensures the granola is distributed throughout the popsicle and not just on top.
- Freeze for at least 5 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the popsicles to fully solidify.
- To easily remove the popsicles from the molds, let them sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before gently pulling them out.
Recipe Notes
Good To Know
- For beautiful layers, alternate spooning the yogurt mixture and granola into the molds, gently tapping each layer down to avoid air pockets and create defined stripes.
- If you prefer crunchier granola, sprinkle a little into the molds just before serving, as it will soften slightly during freezing.
- For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and maple syrup, and ensure your granola is honey-free and vegan-friendly.
- Add fresh berries or diced fruit to the yogurt mixture for extra flavor, color, and sweetness.
Expert Tips
- For a creamier texture, use full-fat Greek yogurt. If using regular yogurt, strain it through cheesecloth or a fine-mesh sieve for a thicker consistency.
- Get creative with your granola! Use different flavors or make your own for a truly customized treat.
- Dip the bottom of the popsicle molds in warm water for a few seconds to help release the frozen popsicles easily.
Storage Instructions
- Store the popsicles in an airtight container or freezer bag in the freezer for up to 2 months.
