Instructions

Prepare the Yogurt

  • Strain the yogurt through a cheesecloth-lined sieve or colander for at least 2 hours to remove excess whey. This creates a thicker, creamier yogurt.

  • In a bowl, whisk the strained yogurt until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract; whisk until well combined.

Prepare the Fruit

  • Wash and chop your chosen fruits (strawberries, kiwi, cherries). Keep the fruit aside.

Assemble the Parfait

  • In individual serving glasses or bowls, layer the chopped fruits. Gently fold the sliced almonds into the yogurt mixture.

Top and Chill

  • Top the fruit layers with the yogurt mixture. Garnish with a few extra cherries or any other preferred fruit.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the parfait to chill before serving.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve chilled and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Expert Tips

  • For a sweeter parfait, increase the powdered sugar to your liking.
  • Feel free to experiment with different fruits – blueberries, raspberries, mangoes, or peaches would all be delicious additions.
  • If you don't have time to strain the yogurt, you can use thick Greek yogurt instead.
  • For extra texture, add a tablespoon of granola or chopped nuts to the parfait.
