Ingredients
 

For the Moong Dal Pancakes (Cheelas):

  • 1 cup Mung Beans split yellow mung beans, yellow
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Chili Powder adjust to taste, optional, red
  • 1 tbsp Oil for cooking the pancakes

For the Burger Assembly:

Instructions
 

Prepare the Moong Dal Pancakes

  • Soak the moong dal in water for at least 30 minutes. Drain and blend into a smooth batter with salt and red chili powder (if using).
  • Heat a lightly oiled griddle or pan. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake, spreading thinly.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Set aside.

Assemble the Burgers

  • Place one pancake on a plate. Add a dollop of mayonnaise and ketchup in the center.
  • Layer with tomato slices.
  • Top with a vegetable patty and another dollop of mayonnaise.
  • Add cucumber slices or other desired toppings.
  • Cover with another pancake.
