- 5 tbsp Milk Powder
- 4 tbsp Ghee clarified butter (desi ghee)
- 1/4 cup Semolina fine semolina (rava or sooji)
Optional additions
- 1.5 tbsp Fruits chopped (e.g., chopped nuts), cranberries, dried, raisins
Instructions
Prepare the Semolina
- Dry roast the semolina (rava) in a pan over medium heat until lightly golden and fragrant. Set aside to cool.
Cook the Carrots
- Heat the ghee in a separate pan over medium heat. Add the grated carrots and sauté for about 5 minutes, until slightly softened.
Combine Ingredients
- Pour in the milk and cook until the carrots are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the roasted semolina and sweetened condensed milk, mixing well to combine.
Finish the Ladoo Mixture
- Gradually add the milk powder and cardamom powder, mixing continuously until a smooth, firm dough forms. Stir in the chopped dried fruits.
Shape and Serve
- Lightly grease your hands with ghee. Roll the mixture into small balls (ladoos). Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
