Ingredients
For the Guacamole
- 1 Avocados ripe
- 1/2 tsp Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp Pepper black, to taste
- 1/4 tsp Lime Juice freshly squeezed
For the Sandwich
- 4 slices Sandwich Bread whole wheat
- 1/4 cup Alfalfa Sprouts
- 1/2 Onion thinly sliced, red
- 3 Mushrooms sliced
- 1 Tomato medium, sliced
- 6 Olives chopped, black
- 4 tsp Sharp Cheddar Cheese shredded
- 2 tsp Wine Vinaigrette red
- 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 6 slices Jalapeno
Instructions
Prepare the Ingredients
- Wash and rinse the alfalfa sprouts. Thinly slice the red onion, mushrooms, and tomato. Chop the black olives and jalapenos.
Make the Guacamole
- Mash the avocado with a fork. Stir in salt, pepper, and lime juice to taste.
Assemble the Sandwich
- Spread red wine vinaigrette on two slices of bread. Top one slice with the red onion, mushrooms, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- On the other slice, layer the tomato, black olives, jalapenos, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Broil the bread slices for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from oven, and top one bread slice with guacamole and alfalfa sprouts.
- Top with the other bread slice. Cut diagonally or vertically into finger sandwiches.
Serve
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides such as potato chips, soup, or a refreshing beverage.
