Ingredients
For the Milk Peda
- 400 gm Sweetened Milk condensed
- 100 gm Milk Powder full-fat recommended
- 2 tbsp Ghee desi ghee preferred for authentic flavor
- 2 tbsp Lime Juice freshly squeezed
- 1 tsp Corn Flour
Optional Garnish
- 1 tbsp Pistachios for decoration, chopped
- 1 tbsp Almonds for decoration, chopped
Instructions
Prepare the Milk Peda Mixture
- Combine sweetened condensed milk, milk powder, ghee, lime juice, and cornflour in a heavy-bottomed pan.
Cook the Mixture
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to pull away from the sides of the pan. This will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
Cool and Shape
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Once it's cool enough to handle, grease your hands with ghee and shape the mixture into small, round pedas.
