Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 0.75 cup All-Purpose Flour also known as maida
- 2 tbsp Sugar powdered
- 0.5 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 pinch Salt
Wet Ingredients
- 100 gm Butter softened, unsalted
- 0.25 cup Sweetened Milk condensed
- 2-3 drops Vanilla Extract
- 0.25 cup Chocolate Chips or chopped dark chocolate
Instructions
Prepare the Dry Ingredients
- Sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Cream the Butter and Sugar
- In a separate bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. You can use an electric mixer or whisk by hand.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract to the creamed butter mixture. Mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
Chill the Dough
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour. This allows the flavors to meld and makes the dough easier to handle.
Shape and Bake the Cookies
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Once chilled, roll the dough into small balls. Flatten slightly with your palm to your desired thickness.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
Cool and Store
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack before transferring them to an airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to a week.
