Ingredients
Okra Preparation
- 250 gm Okra fresh okra, ladyfingers, washed and cut into 1/2-inch thick rounds
Spice Blend
- 1.5 tsp Salt adjust to taste
- 1 tsp Chili Powder red
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder also known as dhania powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tbsp Mango Powder amchur, dry
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder also known as haldi powder
Cooking Oil
- 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil or any neutral cooking oil
Instructions
Prepare the Okra
- Wash and thoroughly dry the okra. Cut into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
Fry the Okra
- Heat the oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the okra and fry for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned and slightly softened.
Add Spices
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir well to coat the okra evenly and cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Finish the Dish
- Stir in the dry mango powder and cook for 1-2 more minutes until the okra is crispy and the spices are fragrant.
