Ingredients
 

For Frying

  • 2 cup Vegetable Oil for deep or shallow frying, adjust quantity as needed.

Vegetables

  • 4-5 Potatoes boiled, and cubed, peeled
  • 1 Tomato finely chopped
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Chilis finely chopped, green
  • 1/2 cup Sprouts boiled mung beans, chickpeas, or a mix. any type works!

Bread & Roti

  • 3 Roti/Chapati leftover roti or chapati
  • 3 slices Bread leftover bread, any type

Prepare the Bread and Roti

  • Cut the leftover roti and bread into triangles or any desired shape. Deep fry until golden brown and crispy. Alternatively, you can air fry them for a healthier option.

Prepare the Potatoes

  • Peel and cube the boiled potatoes. Shallow fry until lightly crisp, seasoning them with salt and red chili powder.

Prepare the Vegetables

  • Finely chop the tomato, onion, and green chilies.

Make the Tamarind Chutney

  • In a pan, combine jaggery and water. Add the tamarind pulp and simmer until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency. Stir in salt, black salt, black pepper, and cumin powder. Mix well.

Assemble the Chaat

  • In a serving bowl, layer the fried potatoes and sprouts. Add the chopped tomato, onion, and green chilies on top. Arrange the crispy roti and bread pieces over the vegetables.

Finish and Serve

  • Generously drizzle the tamarind chutney over the chaat. Sprinkle sev and chaat masala on top. You can also add a dollop of plain yogurt and pomegranate seeds for extra flavor and visual appeal. Serve immediately and enjoy!
