  • 2 tbsp Ginger finely chopped
  • 1-2 Chili adjust to your spice preference, finely chopped, green
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup Coriander finely chopped, for added flavor and freshness
  • 1/2 cup Oil for frying; use a high-smoke point oil like vegetable or canola oil

For Serving (Optional)

Prepare the Batter

  • Drain the soaked green moong dal and rinse thoroughly.
  • Combine the drained dal, ginger, green chilies, coriander leaves, and salt in a blender.
  • Blend into a smooth batter, adding a little water if needed to achieve a slightly thick consistency.

  • Heat the oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the pan, spreading them gently to form small, thin fritters.
