Ingredients
Quinoa & Potato Base
- 1/2 cup Quinoa Flakes organic farmers co. preferred
- 1 Potato boiled and mashed, medium sized
Aromatics & Vegetables
Seasoning & Binding
- 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1/2 tsp Pepper black, freshly ground
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil for greasing the baking tray (optional)
Instructions
Preparation
- Mash the boiled potato thoroughly in a bowl.
- Add the quinoa flakes, onion, coriander, carrot, ginger-garlic paste, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Form a soft dough; set aside.
Baking
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and lightly grease it with olive oil (optional).
- Shape the dough into small, lemon-sized balls.
- Flatten each ball into a disc between your palms.
- Arrange the patties on the prepared baking tray.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Flip the patties and bake for another 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
- Serve the quinoa patties warm. Enjoy them as a snack or side dish. They pair well with coconut mint chutney or your favorite dipping sauce.
