Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1 cup Semolina also known as sooji
- 1/2 - 1 tsp Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder adjust to your spice preference, red
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
Instructions
Prepare the Batter
- Mix together the semolina, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and mustard seeds in a large bowl.
- Add the yogurt, grated carrot, and 1 tablespoon of oil to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
- Gradually add water, a little at a time, until you achieve a slightly thick, but pourable batter. Let the batter rest for 10-15 minutes.
Shape and Air Fry the Vadas
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
