Recipe Notes
Additional Tips
- For extra juicy momos, add a tablespoon of finely minced onion or a dash of chicken stock to the filling—this will help keep the chicken moist and flavorful during steaming.
- If you want a crispier texture, try the “pan-fry and steam” technique: after steaming, quickly sear the momos in a hot skillet with a little oil until the bottoms are golden and crisp.
- To save time on busy mornings, assemble the momos ahead and freeze them on a tray; once frozen, transfer to a bag and steam directly from the freezer—just add a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
- For a burst of color and nutrition, mix finely chopped vegetables like carrot, cabbage, or bell pepper into the chicken filling, making your momos both tastier and more vibrant.
