Instructions

  • HEAD:: Prepare the Ginger
  • Peel and thinly slice 100g of fresh ginger.
  • HEAD:: Combine Ingredients
  • In a clean glass bowl, combine the sliced ginger, 2 finely chopped green chilies, the juice of 1 lemon, and 1 teaspoon of salt (or to taste). Add 1 tablespoon of water if you prefer a less thick consistency.
  • HEAD:: Pickle and Store
  • Mix well to ensure the ginger is evenly coated. Let it sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes, or until the ginger slightly changes color to a light pink. This allows the flavors to meld. Transfer the mixture to an airtight glass jar.
  • HEAD:: Refrigerate and Serve
  • Refrigerate the pickle overnight (or for at least 4 hours) to allow the flavors to fully develop. Once ready, store in the refrigerator for up to a week. Serve your Instant Ginger Pickle with parathas, idlis, dosas, or any dish that needs a vibrant flavor boost!
