This is a very healthy version of the dosa, made with green moong dal. A delicious delicacy from Hyderabad, especially served for breakfast with variety of chutneys.

Ingredients
  

  • Green moong dal - 1/2 cup
  • Ginger chopped - 2 tsp
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Asafoetida - 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • Oil
  • Toppings :
  • Grated carrots - 3 tbsp
  • Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
  • Chopped onion - 1 tbsp

Instructions
 

  • Soak the dal overnight in water, strain and make a paste of everything except the rice flour and oil.
  • Mix the rice flour to the above ground paste.
  • Heat a tawa, grease it with little oil. Pour a ladle of the batter, spread like a dosa.
  • Sprinkle the toppings and drizzle some oil on the sides. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until crispy. Serve hot with chutney.
