Ingredients
- 500 gm Poha (aval)
- 1 spoon Mustard Seeds (urad dal 1 tea spoon and chana dal 1 tea spoon tea)
- 2 Green Chillies (and red chillies)
- 1/4 spoon Hing Powder (tea)
- leaves Curry
- 200 ml Water
- 2 spoons Coconut Oil (or tea)

Instructions
- Wash the Poha well, drain the water out and keep it aside.
- Heat a pan with oil. Saute it with mustard seeds, urad dal and channa dal.Â
- Once they splutter and become brown add the chillies, hing powder and curry leaves stir for a while.
- Now add the 200 ml water and required salt.
- When the water starts boiling add the drained poha and stir well for 2 minutes.
- After the stuff gets cooled make it into lemon size balls and steam it out for 10 minutes.
- The Aval Kaara Kozhukattai is ready to serve now with any chutney or pickle or sugar.
