- 0.25 cup Milk
- 0.5 cup Sugar powdered

Garnish
- 2 Strawberries
- 2 sprigs Mint fresh
Instructions
- Purée the chopped strawberries and strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds. In a small bowl, soften 2 teaspoons of agar-agar powder in a little water. This step is crucial for proper activation and prevents clumping. In a saucepan, combine the strawberry purée, heavy cream, and powdered sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the softened agar-agar to the saucepan and whisk continuously until fully dissolved. Remove from heat and continue whisking for a minute to prevent setting. Pour the mixture into individual serving molds or a larger mold. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the first layer to set.

- To unmold, briefly dip the mold in hot water for a few seconds. Run a thin knife around the edges of the panna cotta to release it. Invert onto a serving plate. Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint sprigs.
Recipe Notes
Good To Know
- For sharper layer definition, ensure each layer is fully set in the refrigerator before pouring the next one. Use the back of a spoon to gently diffuse the impact and prevent mixing.
- If using fresh strawberries, blend and strain them to remove seeds for a smoother purée.
- For a striking presentation, set the pannacotta in individual clear glasses tilted at an angle for a dramatic diagonal layered effect.
- To make this dessert vegan, substitute dairy cream and milk with full-fat coconut milk or almond milk, adjusting sweetness as needed, and use agar agar as directed for setting.
Expert Tips
- Experiment with different fruit purées or coulis for variations on this classic dessert. Raspberry, mango, or even chocolate would create delicious flavor combinations.
- Don't be afraid to get creative with the layering. You can create thinner or thicker layers, or even swirl colors together for a marbled effect.
- For an extra touch of elegance, garnish the finished pannacotta with fresh berries, a sprig of mint, or a dusting of cocoa powder.
Storage Instructions
- Store leftover pannacotta in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
