Additional Tips

  • For extra crunch and freshness, add thinly sliced onions, bell peppers, or shredded carrots to the paneer filling just before rolling.
  • Brush the prepared rolls lightly with oil or ghee and toast them on a hot tawa for 1-2 minutes after rolling to create a crispier exterior and enhance the flavor.
  • To make this recipe vegan, substitute paneer with firm tofu and use plant-based yogurt or cashew cream if you add a sauce or chutney inside the roll.
  • Wrap the filled rolls in parchment paper or foil for easy packing; these make excellent lunchbox options and stay fresh for several hours at room temperature.
