Ingredients
For the Sprouts
- 100 gm Mung Bean Sprouts also known as green gram sprouts. rinse thoroughly before using.
For the Chaat
- 1 cup Corn Kernels fresh or frozen, sweet, thawed
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 Tomato finely chopped
- 1/2 - 1 tsp Chili Powder adjust to your spice preference. alternatively, red, use 2-3 finely chopped green chilies.
- 2 tbsp Chickpea Noodle crispy chickpea flour noodles, readily available at indian grocery stores.
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
- 2 tbsp Coriander finely chopped (cilantro)
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1 tsp Oil vegetable or canola oil. optional, for sautéing the sprouts.
Instructions
Prepare the Sprouts
- Wash the mung bean sprouts thoroughly and drain well. Optionally, lightly sauté the sprouts in 1 tsp of oil until slightly softened. Set aside.
Assemble the Chaat
- In a large bowl, combine the sautéed (or raw) sprouts, sweet corn kernels, chopped onion, and chopped tomato.
Season and Garnish
- Add the red chili powder and salt. Mix well to combine.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and sev.
Serve
- Drizzle with fresh lemon juice just before serving. Enjoy immediately!
