Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Onion finely chopped
- 1 cup Potato boiled
- 1 tbsp Coriander dhania, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala
- 1/8 tsp Mango Powder dried, dry
- 1.5 tsp Salt or as per taste
- 5 tsp Yogurt whisked curds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seed
- 3 tsp Chutney sweet
- For Tacos Shell for tacos shell
- 1 cup Maize Flour
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Carom Seeds ajwain
- 1.5 tsp Salt or as per taste
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
Make the Taco Shells
- Sieve the maize flour and all-purpose flour together.
- Add oil, carom seeds, and salt. Knead into a semi-stiff dough using warm water.
- Divide the dough into equal portions.
- Roll out each portion into a thin circle, pricking with a fork.
- Deep-fry in hot oil until light brown on both sides.
- Using tongs and a ladle, shape into taco shells while still hot and continue frying until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Let cool completely and store in an airtight container.
Prepare the Potato Chaat Filling
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cubed boiled potatoes and cook for 5 minutes until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked potatoes, chopped onion, coriander, chaat masala, amchur powder, chili powder (if using), and salt. Mix well.
