Ingredients
Brownie Base

- 2 cup Dates pitted
- 2 tbsp Flaxseed Meal (see instructions)

- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
- 1 cup Cocoa Powder
- 2-3 tsp Coconut Milk (optional, if needed)
Chili Ganache
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 cup Coconut Milk
- 1 tsp Butter unsalted
- 1 1/2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Cinnamon ground
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Pepper Flakes red
Instructions
- Lightly roast the flax seeds in a skillet over medium heat until fragrant. Let cool completely, then grind into a meal. This enhances their nutty flavor and improves binding.
- Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal later. Set aside.
- In a food processor, combine the walnuts, chili powder, flaxseed meal, and cinnamon. Pulse until finely ground.
- Add the cocoa powder and pulse for 10 seconds to combine.
- Add the pitted dates in 2-3 batches, pulsing until the mixture comes together and forms a slightly sticky dough. If the mixture is too thick, add 2-3 teaspoons of coconut milk until the desired consistency is reached.
- Transfer the brownie base mixture to the prepared pan. Press it evenly into the bottom, creating a smooth surface.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, coconut milk, and unsalted butter until smooth. Heating the coconut milk and butter slightly before mixing will help create a smoother ganache.
