Shrikhand is an Indian sweet dish made of strained Curd. Traditionally it is flavored with Elachi (Cardamom), saffron and nuts and for sweetness Sugar is used. Here is the healthy version of traditional Shrikhand with goodness of Jaggery and we have used Rose petal Preserve(Gulkand) to give it Rosy flavor. Often used in pan, Gulkand is a preserved version of rose petals that are mixed with sugar. However we have even made Gulkand with Jaggery. Roses are not only beautiful, but they are cool in nature. Gulkand itself tastes wonderful; and when added to this Shrikhand , it enhances and makes it taste awesome!! The base ingredient in Shrikhand is curd which is associated with strengthening of immune system. Curd aids in digestion and is rich in essential nutrients like Vitamin C, A and D.
