Ingredients

- 1 cup Gram Flour besan
Wet Ingredients
- 1 cup Clarified Butter
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Coconut freshly grated
- 2 tsp Clarified Butter for initial frying of gram flour
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder for added flavor, optional
Instructions
Prepare the Gram Flour
- Dry roast 1 cup of gram flour in a pan with 2 teaspoons of ghee over medium heat until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.
Combine Ingredients
- In the same pan, add the sugar, milk, grated coconut, and cardamom powder (if using). Mix well to combine.
Cook the Halwa
- Place the pan on the stove and stir continuously over medium heat.
Add Remaining Ghee
- Gradually add the remaining 1 cup of ghee, a little at a time, stirring constantly to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
