Ingredients
Spaghetti
- 100 gm Spaghetti
Sauce
- 1 Onion chopped
- 1 Bell Peppers chopped
- 1/4 cup Soya Chunks soaked
- 1 tsp Pineapple Sauce
- 1 tsp Bean Sauce black
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder red
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 2 clove Garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp Basil dried
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
Instructions
- Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil in a large pot. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. This ensures the spaghetti is cooked through but still has a slight bite.
- Heat the sesame oil in a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the pan. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened and slightly translucent.
- Add the soaked soya chunks to the pan and stir to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the soya chunks to absorb the flavors of the aromatics.
- Stir in the pineapple sauce, black bean sauce, red chili powder, and salt. Simmer for a minute to blend the flavors.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan and toss gently to coat it evenly with the sauce. This helps to distribute the flavors throughout the dish.
- Garnish with dried basil and serve immediately. The fresh basil adds a final touch of flavor and aroma.
Recipe Notes
Good To Know
- If needed, you can adjust the spices or sauces to your liking.
- You can boil the pasta in a wide pan without adding salt or oil to the boiling water.
Expert Tips
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- If you don't have fresh pineapple, canned pineapple chunks can be used as a substitute.
- Garnish with fresh herbs like basil or parsley for an added touch of freshness.
Storage Instructions
- Toss leftover spaghetti with a teaspoon of olive oil before refrigerating to prevent sticking.
- Reheat in a skillet for best texture, rather than using the microwave.
