Ingredients
Vegetables
- 1 large Onion finely chopped
- 1 large Bell Peppers capsicum, any color, finely chopped
- 2 medium Tomatoes finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger finely minced
- 1-2 Chili adjust to taste, finely chopped, green
Spices & Aromatics
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 2 Chili adjust to taste, dried, red, whole
- 1 tsp Chili Powder adjust to taste, red
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder haldi
- 1 tsp Garam Masala adds depth of flavor, optional
- 1 tsp Salt or to taste
Dairy & Other
- 400 gm Cottage Cheese indian cottage cheese, cubed
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
- 2 tbsp Oil vegetable or canola
Instructions

- Heat oil in a pan or wok over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
- Add the minced ginger and whole red chilies; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Sauté Vegetables
- Add the chopped onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Add the chopped bell peppers and tomatoes; cook for another 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
Add Paneer and Spices
- Add the cubed paneer, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala (if using), and salt. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
Simmer and Finish
- Pour in the lemon juice. Stir gently, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Do not overcook the paneer.
