  • 2 cup Yogurt plain, full-fat yogurt recommended
  • 1/2 cup Water adjust to reach desired consistency; can substitute with buttermilk or coconut water for variation
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds dry roasted until fragrant, then ground
  • 10 leaves Mint Leaves fresh mint leaves preferred
  • 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste; consider adding a pinch of black salt (kala namak) for a traditional touch
  • 1/4 tsp Chaat Masala optional, for garnish
  • 2-3 sprigs Mint for garnish, fresh

Instructions
 

Roast the Cumin

  • Dry roast 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds in a dry pan over medium heat until fragrant. Let cool completely, then grind to a fine powder using a mortar and pestle or spice grinder.

Blend the Lassi

  • Combine 2 cups of plain yogurt, 1/2 cup of water (add more for desired consistency), the roasted cumin powder, 10 fresh mint leaves, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a blender.
