Ingredients
Lemongrass Syrup
- 2 stalks Lemongrass bruised gently
- 1 cup Sugar granulated
- 2 cup Water
Lemonade
- 1/2 cup Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
- 1/2 cup Lime Juice freshly squeezed
- 1 tsp Salt optional, to taste
- 6-8 cup Water chilled
- 8-10 cup Ice Cubes
- 2 stalks Lemongrass for garnish
- 2 slices Lemon for garnish
Instructions
Make the Lemongrass Syrup
- In a small saucepan, combine the lemongrass stalks (gently bruised), sugar, and 2 cups of water.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the syrup cool completely, about 1 hour. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the lemongrass.
Combine Ingredients
- In a large pitcher, combine the cooled lemongrass syrup, lemon juice, lime juice, salt, and chilled water.
- Stir well to combine.
- Add ice cubes to the pitcher.
Serve
