Ingredients
For the Kiwi Puree:
- 2 medium Kiwi peeled and roughly chopped
For the Peda:
- 1 cup Mawa also known as mawa; use good quality, preferably homemade
- 3/4 cup Sugar granulated white sugar; adjust to your sweetness preference
- 1-2 tbsp Clarified Butter for greasing
- Optional Rose Petals And Fruits dry, for garnish
Instructions
Prepare the Kiwi Puree
- Puree the peeled and chopped kiwi using a blender or food processor until completely smooth. Set aside.
Cook the Kiwi Puree
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the kiwi puree and cook, stirring frequently, until it thickens considerably and begins to leave the sides of the pan. This will take approximately 8-10 minutes.
Combine with Khoya
- Add the khoya to the cooked kiwi puree. Stir well to combine and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture is smooth and well blended. Reduce heat to low if necessary to prevent burning.
Add Sugar
- Stir in the sugar and cook until it dissolves completely and the mixture starts to thicken further. Continue stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
Shape and Chill
- Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool completely to room temperature. Lightly grease a plate or tray with ghee. Once cool, shape the mixture into small peda (diamond-shaped) sweets.
Serve
- Refrigerate the Kiwi Ka Peda for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up. Garnish with rose petals and chopped dry fruits before serving chilled.
