- 1/2 cup Palm Sugar or substitute with granulated sugar or honey
- 1 cup Water
For the Lemonade
- 1 cup Mint fresh mint leaves
- 1/4 cup Lemon Juice freshly squeezed is best
- 3 cup Water chilled water for serving
- Ice cubes Ice ice cubes for serving
Instructions
Prepare the Hibiscus Syrup
- Combine dried hibiscus flowers, palm sugar, and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the liquid is deeply colored and slightly thickened.
Strain and Cool
- Remove from heat and strain the hibiscus syrup through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a heat-safe container. Let it cool completely.
Make the Lemonade
